Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Intended Audience

This activity is intended for intended for psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals who manage patients with MDD.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify patients whose MDD is not diagnosed or whose MDD is not being adequately treated in the primary care setting.
  • Create a comprehensive plan to work with patients in managing their MDD.
  • Evaluate specific patient cases to determine when mental health consult is necessary.
  • Describe the importance of including measurement tools in managing patients with MDD.
